I have always been a painter. But it is only after a career in communication that I decided to devote myself fully to the creation of paintings in mixed techniques in 2002. I am inspired by events and current events as well as by my daily life. I take photographs of my surroundings, the genesis of my pictorial work, and then transpose my pictures onto canvas. I pay particular attention to the material and combine different materials, pigments, cardboard, ashes, or even plants, to give relief to my compositions. Since 2012, it has been quite natural that I turned to photography, a medium that complements paintings. From an element that has been photographed a thousand times, I create a fog in the crucible of my glued materials and my paint, pushing the pure image backward, drawing to the front of the stage what this image contains of mystery. Then, by "inverting" my technique, I made a series of black and white photos, on which I introduced color through pigments, varnishes, and inks. Bridges, trees, or landscapes disappear slightly under the color.

Since 2012, I have naturally turned to photography, a medium that complements painting, which is entirely part of my research. It is like collages, it must be linked to the world of communication and journalism in which I grew up: newspapers, words, photos... From an element that has been photographed a thousand times, I create a fog in the crucible of my collage materials and my paint, pushing the pure image backwards, drawing to the front of the stage what this image contains of mystery. Then, by "inverting" my technique, I made a series of black and white photos, on which I introduced colour through pigments, varnishes and inks. Bridges, trees or landscapes disappear slightly under the colour. I make these "overpaintings" whose photographic work is the fruit of several journeys, of a long journey. They are single prints, halfway between photography and painting. In 2020, the Taylor Foundation awarded me the Monique Corpet Prize for my work of painting on photographs.
